The landscape of eastern Georgian Bay is elusive at the best of times. Distance, weather, and treacherous waters make it difficult to access, and, like most landscapes, it is most evocative when the sun is low or obscured by mist or cloud. Because it is largely two dimensional - rock and trees sandwiched between water and sky - it suits a wide perspective.
